KEVIN LOCKETTE, PT
Kevin has been practicing as a physical therapist in the rehabilitation field since 1989. He was a recent (2000) president of HAPTA (Hawaii Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association) and the primary author of a medical text on rehabilitation, Conditioning with Physical Disabilities, Human Kinetic Publishers 1994.
Kevin has extensive experience in acute rehabilitation and is the founder of what is now the nation's largest wellness program for individuals with physical disabilities at the renown Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Kevin is a past head coach for the United States Disable Sports Team (A member of the U.S. Olympic Committee) and coached in International games including the World Championships and the Paralympics in Barcelona, Spain in 1992. Kevin is presently on the Clinical Advisory Council for the Multiple Sclerosis Society-Hawaii.
Kevin enjoys canoe paddling and participates in the Moloka'i Hoe every year. He is also an avid baseball fan and attends UH sports whenever he can. Kevin is not only a physical therapist, but also father of two, athlete, and non-fiction history buff. He is musically inclined in the harmonica and guitar with a love for the blues.
ALISON ALDCROFT, PT
Alison is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario in 1991 with Honors. Alison began her professional career at Parkwood Hospital in London, Ontario and then moved to the United States to work at the Doctors' Regional Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1998 where she was a Senior therapist and Rehab Manager for 6 years.
She joined our team in May of 2004 bringing with her 14 years of experience with spinal cord injury, neurological and orthopedic diagnoses. Alison is NDT certified and has taken advanced courses involving neurological issues. Her orthopedic interests are in McKenzie and Mulligan concepts as well as MS imbalances.
Alison's many talents and interests include surfing, soccer, basketball and Girl Scout activities with her daughter. She is also the lead singer for a rock/blues band, The Blue Devils.
MARTIN deBUEGER, PT
Martin graduated from Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Australia. He has 17 years of orthopedic experience with a focus in a variety of manual techniques including Maitland, Mulligan, and McKenzie manual therapy approaches.
Personally, Martin is an avid wind surfer and enjoys music.
BETH LEEVER, PT
Beth is a highly qualified physical therapist with 19 years of clinical practice. She graduated from California State University at Long Beach in 1988 and graduated from Creighton University in 2005 with her Doctorate in physical therapy. She has worked in outpatient and inpatient settings focusing primarily on neurological and geriatric orthopedic rehabilitation. Beth is NDT certified.
In her spare time, Beth loves to surf, play volleyball and read.
ARLENE ONO, OT
Arlene graduated from University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, WA, Magna Cum Laude in 1981. She has 22 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings and clinical areas including neurological rehab and hand therapy.
Like Alicia, Arlene has interest and is skillful with upper extremity splinting and rehabilitation of rheumatologic and musculoskeletal conditions. When Arlene is not doing things for her family and others she likes to play the piano and go to live performances and sports events with her family. In the past, she has been a volunteer parent helper for the Hawaii Youth Symphony.
JERRY ONO, PT
Jerry is a highly experience physical therapist with 24 years of clinical practice. He graduated from the University of Puget Sound with Honors in Physical Therapy in 1982. He was then employed at the Rehab Hospital of the Pacific until joining Ohana Pacific in 2002.
His last 16 years of practice have been in Rehab's various outpatient clinics specializing in amputee, total joint replacement, geriatric orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation. He has a special interest in gait training and working with orthotics and prosthetics. Jerry also plays the guitar and loves sports such as baseball and basketball.
DOROTHY AFUVAI, Office Manager
Dorothy joined the Ohana team in March of 2004 bringing with her 4 years of experience in the medical office field. Her previous job experience includes St. Francis Medical System and Range of Motion, a hand therapy clinic. She is responsible for the daily operations of our Kailua Clinic and assists therapists with scheduling, insurance authorizations and patient charges.
Dorothy has an exuberant personality and loves to make people laugh. She enjoys caring for her horse, Sonrisa--a flea-bitten gray thoroughbred, and spending time with her family and two grandchildren.
AMY MATSUMOTO, Administrative Assistant
Amy first joined Ohana Pacific in May 2003 as a registration clerk for the Honolulu Clinic and left in October 2005 to pursue an education in make-up artistry. She completed her studies and returned in May 2006 to assist with accounts receivables, special projects, updating our website and marketing.
In her spare time Amy enjoys traveling, singing karaoke and spending time with her husband and three dogs.
